a question, every morning around 5 am i drive into work in boston on 93 north, and just before the bostongas tank i sometimes (not often) see someone fishing there . seems like a logical spot,at the mouth of the neponset river. are these guys sharpies? or maybe just cant sleep.i get the itch every morning and wonder if any of you have ever tried.i should really pay more attention to the road when i drive by the water instead of looking for birds eh?
Back when I used to commute to Boston as a Union carpenter, I also noticed guy's fishing that spot. I tried it several times. Caught a few schoolies during one trip, nothing but yelloweyed devils, all the other times. The place sometimes loads up with peanut bunker.
read about the get together you are havig this weekend and wish i could attend, but duty,as in work, calls i know this isnt a cometition ,and i wish tight lines to all but i know you will prevail gunny.one for the commandant, one for the corps....! good luck to all
i finally did it ,this morning a friend and i got up an hour early and did some recon and took a few casts,no fish but a fishy looking spot to check out in a few weeks. i was surprised to walk down there and cast, from the highway it looks like an easy cast to the other side of the channel .not so by a long shot when your standing on the shore!
