Top-waters, verticle spooning and down-rigging are all producing fish. However, fish are also being caught still on live shad. Top-waters: Salt water series chug-bugs and near-nuthin type lures have been the baits of choice. Color does not matter, but make sure the bucktail is replaced often. Strikes will go down considerably with no hair or plastic on the back hook as that is what they think is the small threadfin shad they are pursuing. Spoons: 1.5 - 2.25 ounce Hopkins, as well as various "slab" type baits. Down-riggers: Double jig rigs. Submitted by Doc Walker, guide, 877-664-2208,
