Pier 6 at Virginia Beach{Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel}
Inlander here, new to forum
Looking for any info on pier fishing .I have found out about pier 6 on the CBBT and want to fish there .Any info would be helpful, such as type of rod and reel to use , good baits , times and methods to fish

I think you are talking about the Seagull pier at the first island. Am I right. Here is a picture of it. Right now the Chesapeake Bay is close to fishing for Striper. I don't think you will find anyone fishing there. Big fine if caught with one in the bay.

Bay is closed? I live in Rhode Island and our waters are never closed to striper fishing? When does it open? Me and a friend were planning on coming to the bay to fish for stripers the first week of March. Will the bay be closed then?

Here is a site to check out the regulations. The Chesapeake Bay is closed right now for fishing for Striper. One must fish past the bay for them and up to 3 miles only. The mouth of the bay is past the CBBT so you have to fish past that. http://www.mrc.virginia.gov/regulati...hingrules.shtm
