Christmas Holiday Photo contest 04
Present your 2004 fishing photo entry here. Grand Prize $50 gift Certificate to amazon.com striper books for christmas. Runners up will recieve various striper fishing tackle as consolation prizes. I will add first two entries from our members. Any submissions or suggestions are welcome. The first two entries are hard to beat. Pm me if you cant add your pic directly.
Pics have to reside on a server first. You can upload them to this server via the photo album. Then post them using this address. example
https://stripers247.com/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=95
Then surround the address with these tags. [img] [/img]
once you upload the pic from your hard drive you can then click on it and look at the address in the browser bar up at trhe very top. copy it and paste it in the thread surrounded by the img tags.
The pictures you upload in the albums have to have the correct locations from your hard drive. The key is finding the correct file. If you still have trouble send me the pics and Ill upload them for you in both places using your id.

OK I accidently erased this forum. There were two of them and I erased one but unfortunately it was the only one. Debugging issue. This is an attempt at a salvage of at least the first page. If you care too. Repost the missing images. Any way the contest was over on December 15th and there was 1 clear winner and a three way tie for second place. So there were 4 winners. Top prize went to Brandons sunset Picture. Next was darkrivers 2 entries that garnered second place vote. Afx Twins pic.of the surf and 4 was Briggs Monstah.
Afx Please repost your pics. oops sorry guys.
The prizes were Tica Libra 4000 spinning reels.
Consolation prizes went out to all entrants.

Hey Mike. When did you put that son of a bitch in there.
That was Damon Saccos (Castafari charters) fish that missed out on winning the tournament by 6 minutes. Im not a fan of shark tournaments. These big females only have pups and dont breed very often. Every 6 years or so and only a few pups each. Its not like they lay 1/2 a million eggs. Pretty soon there wont be any left. IMO.
Btw I hope the winners of last years contest liked the Libra. Mine was good for a while but the dogleg spring sux. Antireverse is screwed up.

They took that big female out of the water for nothin'? [sarcastic]Awesome.[/sarcastic]
lol, Jim, I had a problem with one of mine too. One of my original ones. Anti-reverse will "roll back" on me randomly. I think it happens sometimes right after a cast and the bail closes. I heard there this was a known issue.

The Libra.
I was gonna take it apart and give it a good going over to see if its salvagable.
Its a known issue for the garbage if that doesnt work.

Woah!! i never posted the pic of that shark!!!! where the hell did that come from? i just was randomly going through this thread to show someone the pics i took and i just realized that pic was posted under my name. weird. the picture was supposed to be another beach shot with a cabin. well anyway, the tica reel i got is good except every so often, the bail closes when i cast and i lost one or 2 nice plugs.
other than that, it works nice.
anybody know when/how that shark pic got posted under my name?

A bud and I took my two little guys out for some spring run bass.
10 solid hours of 20# class fish, the kids caught every one except the two that my friend and I each reeled in.
This is the boys on the way back to the dock. Note the little guy with the glasses, still fighting fish in his sleep :)
