We are still catching fish on live shad, however, artificial season is just around the corner, a relegious holiday to me as I do not have to get up at 3 o'clock to catch bait! Stripers are starting to surface, and, it is just a matter of time that topwaters, spoons and down-riggers will start producing. There are a lot of better (10-20lb) fish in the Lake as we had the best March big-fish season I can remember in some years. This indicates that July could be great as the the larger fish tend to school together. Tight-lines! Doc Walker,
