My question for you is, Why not a transom mount instead. There are many options available that allow you to dial control the troller and utilize your current steering to control direction. It also gives you better directional control from the stern in rougher than calm weather. Think about rolling waves and the action of your bow verse the stern, the motor stays in the water.
Other wise, mount your wiring along the gunnel under the trim, then snake under your deck. Check to see if there is already a wiring chase from the bow for your forward running lights as well.
