Bass Still there off party boat!!!

Was invited out on a party boat last night out of Sheephead Bay Brooklyn. I didnt expect to catch much, as I was begining to think the bass run is just about dead or is dying off, coupled onto the fact that I have a black cloud over my head following me, when it comes to snagging one of these beauties. I have caught everything from weakfish, blues, porgies and fluke but cant seem to get that elusive keeper striper. Last night began as no different, then the boat started seeing some good action after about 2hrs of switching spots, everyone was catching them, except me of course!! A few more spots visited and bang they were hitting again!! All keepers at this point, except the real puny shortie throw back I caught of course!!

It was almost time to leave, and the boat had landed in excess of 35 bass at this point!! I had ZERO!! as usual!! The captain announced to throw down the lines for a last time, before heading back. I put on fresh bait and shook my head from all the ribbing I was taking from my pal Skippy the mate, about how a 6 year old could catch a bass in the spots we were hitting. I was just coming to the realization that I was not meant to have one of these fish this year. Last line drop and bang!! the magic struck!! I reeled in a 24lb striper the biggest bad ass on the boat topping the 22lb one caught an hour before!!

Many Kudos to Captain Tony, (I dont know if he was using a ouija board or a crystal ball to get us on the fish, but he did it!! I think 39 stripers landed in all!!) and to the mates Skippy (who ribbed me the whole trip) and Ralph of the Marilyn Jean 2, pier 6 Sheepshead Bay Bklyn. Great crowd of people on board . We all had a blast, and alot of laughs this trip, I guess thats why its called a "party' boat. The best part was I finally got a nice keeper!!
