Looking for any input on fly fishing for Stripers on the lower Delaware near Trenton. Will be in the area in May and want to hook up if possible. I plan to use clousers and large poppers. Also plan on bringing using an 8 weight with both floating and sinking lines, depending on the situation. Thanks in advance for the info.
I'm not familiar with the area...but I would recomend wading onto the flats...Stripers can be found on the flats at high tide feeding on crabs, shrimp, squid and sand eels.
Also sand bars and rips I would think are good places to throw a fly...
