HARNELL 628 (?) Rod tube

Newbie questions,

Picked up a nice Harnell rod tube with steel screw cap ends at an estate sale, End sticker reads:
"A genuine black tubular spun glass harnell rod " It appears to say 628, but there is a spot of paint possibly covering another number.
Any help??? Any Value to the rod holders themselves? this appears to be in 9.5/10 condition.

Hey West,

If the paint spot follows the 8, it's more thatn likely an R. (628R)
If so, this model was a 7' 2-pc Fresh Water Spinning Rod rated for 8lb.
As far as the value of the rod tube........... It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
