Anyone here fish Jim woodruff dam at lake seminole??

I'm a newbie here... I'm completly new to stripers but from waht I saw last sunday at the dam I think I found a new hobby
Anyway at the dam it seems like everyone uses the same rig. They were fishing up against the closed gates and they were all using some rig with a weight and a really long cork or 4 brightly coloered corks above the lead. It seems to be a common rig at the dam. can some one please explain to me how to rig my rod up with that rig :?:
but if you hang around you're sure to see one come out of the water :) Also, I'm not sure but the fish from Apalachicola Bay should have no obstacle when they swim upstream to this point. Figure out when this event occurs and mark it on your calendar. The Striped Bass will take other lures too - these folks are probably trying to reach the wash-out below the spillway like a catfisher would, with some sort of bait.
Catch the run and you can get 'em on topwater baits like the Super Spook. This is my favorite way to encounter the Striper. To see him come up and take it and then make off like a freight train. Do this once and you'll be hooked too...

Just kidding. I hate that you have to go through this kind of behavior to weed out a few bad apples. Sort of makes me look like a criminal/hacker when all I want to do is go fishing. Long story short - work was slow, let go June 30th, start my new job tommorrow and life is good. For Mr. Jim to crank out the Members with less than 9 posts email was just poor timing with all I've been through lately and with all that's going on in Iraq and the Gulf of Mexico. Let's take a time to remember things more important than a fishing board post limit.

My father-n-law and myself will begin fishing Lake Seminole and Apalachicola rivers soon for stripers. I did plenty of striper fishing in Texas, especially at Possum Kingdom Lake, but this will be the first for me in Florida. Look forward to hearing update.
