Heading out to Havasu next week for five days, i think im going to take the kayak and check it out. Does anyone have any tips or spots they like for striper, i havent fished there since i was a kid.
i believe theres a striper tourney heading that way, with in a week or so.
when you get to havasu, ask around.
i still have not fished it yet, but a friend just got back with a few .
he was using a.c.plugs.
the striper derby is may 15-17. fish cut anchovies in 45-55 ft of water and DO NOT be discouraged when your graph doesn't show fish,they are on the bottom,literally on the bottom, getting ready to spawn, but they WILL bite an anchovie on a carolina rig with 1 oz. sinker and #1 mosquito hook.

Ya,still here bro. Havent been there yet this year.supposed to go last weekend and been too damn busy with work.Headed down this weekend (4/9-4/11) in preperation for the derby. ill post the report when i get back.
We might try to get out the following weekend but not sure, if we do will let you know if we did any good. Going to try different stuff this year maybe the river good luck go slay them....
