HELP catching stripers in a pond.

Any Idea on the best way to catch stripers out of a one acre pond? I put 70 1 pound stripers in my pond. I live in Whiteland indiana. I have caught a few. Thanks for any ideas.

Are you feeding them? I don't see how a 1 acre pond could support the appetite of 70 stripers. Most of them probably starved if you're not feeding.

ide run a net throught the whole pond and return all the stripers back to where they came from...

They were biting like crazy last night. Caught 25 !!!

I thought that looked like a radio tag too Jim. Caught my eye, as it's not something I'd expect to see stuck in a fish pulled out of a 1 acre pond.

They are tags that I bought online. I have been tagging them and recording what I catch so I can watch them grow. Why did that other guy say cheating???

Look at the dorsal. That looks like a hybrid to me. Maybe its the pic, but that fish also looks a little wide for a pure strain.

Cheech is probably only busting about the comment.
Where he lives theres no hybrids and a limit of 1 a day. He fished all spring fall and winter for his fish.

i must be honest and say...i was a bit confused myself. i saw the tagged fish..and was wondering what the deal with that was as well. the thought a lot of us have is..given the calorie needs of stripers..70 of them in a 1 acre pond is gonna deplete any bait and cause starvation to set in real quick...unless they are being fed by you. being the fact they are hybrid fish..that may be plenty of space for them to thrive...but not a striper like im thinking...

. Seriously, that does sound like a lot of fish. I would think that you should be able to throw any bait at them and they are going to take it as they would deplete any of the natural bait in the pond quickly. that could be why you caught so many the other day. But what the hell do I know?! with the luck I have, I probably wouldn't have caught anything standing right next to you.
