Re: White Perch as Live Bait
Here near Philly, during the spring run on the Delaware River, white perch often run at the same time as stripers. Both can be caught on bloodworms. I will often then take a smaller white perch and liveline it for stripers and have had success doing so. One tip, the perch have pointy spikes in the front part of their dorsal fins. I will use scissors to cut the spike down, this way when a striper hits the perch it wont spit it as a result of getting spiked in the mouth or throat.
